Enable Telemedicine Audio Recording in Sidekick

Sidekick now provides a seamless way to record audio from both you and your patient directly within Sidekick during telemedicine visits.

The telemedicine audio recording feature is supported on the following browsers and devices:

    • Browsers: Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge
    • Devices: Desktop computers only (mobile devices are not supported)
      • On MacOS, you can only share audio from a video call running in the same browser as Sidekick; you cannot record from a downloaded Zoom app.
      • On Windows, you can share audio from a browser or desktop-based video calling software.

Follow these steps to set up this powerful feature.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the Sidekick Widget: Find and open the Sidekick widget on your screen.
  2. Navigate to the Audio Tab: Inside the widget, click on the Audio tab to access your audio settings.
  3. Enable Telemedicine: At the bottom of the Audio tab, click the "enable telemedicine" link (shown below). A pop-up window with instructions will appear. After reviewing them, click the blue "Enable Telemedicine Mode" button (shown below).

  1. Share Your Patient Visit Tab: Another pop-up will prompt you to select the browser tab for your patient visit. Choose the correct tab, and make sure the "Share Tab Audio" option is toggled on (shown below). Click "Share" in the bottom right corner.

  1. Start Your Recording: You will be redirected to your patient visit tab. When you are ready to begin, navigate back to your note. You'll see "Telemedicine Mode Active" (shown below) confirming that you're ready to record. Now, simply click "Auto-Note" or "Dictation" to begin your visit.
