Non-Extension based Sidekick: How to Pause and Resume Patient Recordings

Please note that this feature is exclusively available for users accessing the platform via non-extension based EMR applications.

You can now use the Pause feature to step away from a session without losing progress. This may be helpful for certain workflows. For most users, the preferred method remains stopping the recording, allowing it to process, and then adding additional content as needed for the most reliable experience.

Pausing a Recording

  • Click the Pause button to halt the current session.
  • Once paused, the recording is automatically saved to the server. You can safely switch to a different patient or navigate to another part of the application without losing your recording.

Resuming a Session

  • When you return to a patient with an interrupted session, the interface will automatically display the Paused State. To continue, click the orange "resume" icon, accessible either in the expanded or collapsed view:
    • Expanded Toolbar: A Resume button will appear in the toolbar. Click it to pick up exactly where you left off.

    • Collapsed View: If your toolbar is minimized, the resume option remains accessible:

Since recordings are saved to the server when you hit pause, your paused state will remain intact even if you log out and log back in later.
